Richmond

1,000 Homes Richmond conducted their Registry Week in August 2011 and continues to house the most vulnerable identified.

During their Registry Week, eleven teams made up of more than 100 community partners and volunteers canvassed the streets to compile a detailed registry of Richmond’s homeless.   Specialized teams also targeted Chesterfield and Henrico on July 28, 2011, as part of the region’s Point-in-Time count. 218 homeless individuals were surveyed in the Greater Richmond region with more than half (118 individuals/54.1%) identified as vulnerable and at increased risk of death.
