The American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA), signed into law by President Obama on February 17, 2009, created the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) which provided $25 million in federal funds to Virginia for homelessness prevention and rapid re-housing efforts.
VCEH will soon release The Future of Rapid Re-Housing: A Study of Rapid Re-Housing in Nine Urban, Suburban, and Urban Communities. The purpose of this report is to make recommendations for future rapid re-housing programs and policy based on the experiences of Virginia communities thus far with rapid re-housing.
