February 18, 2010 - Gov. McDonnell Proposes Even More Budget Cuts; Urgent Request for Local Data

Due to Virginia’s significant state budget deficit, VCEH will focus all our efforts on building support for maintaining current levels of funding for state homeless and housing programs. Our efforts this year will lay a foundation for long-term advocacy to increase resources for homeless prevention and assistance.
We will also be embarking on a process of developing sound public policy to (1) encourage investment in permanent supportive housing for people with mental and physical disabilities, and (2) encourage investment in prevention and rapid re-housing focused on families. More information.
