Permanent supportive housing works and it saves money. It is a proven solution to homelessness for people experiencing disabilities including mental illness and substance use disorders. This housing model is also effective for some ex-offenders and veterans.
VCEH has identified permanent supportive housing as one of our priority program areas. Our goal is to increase investment in permanent supportive housing in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
